Winnie the Pooh

Brandon wasn’t sure about this movie at first, because it didn’t have any cars with faces on them.  :)  After one minute of watching, he burst into laughter so hard that we thought he might have been crying!  He just loved Tigger, who was bouncing on his tail (who doesn’t?) and Eeyore and Pooh.  This is a great movie for kids, and would be a great stocking stuffer!

Britax

As you prepare for your holiday travels, I recommend that you check out Britax’s new car seat travel cart.  Any car seat (any brand) that uses the LATCH system can attach to this cart in the same way that it attaches in your car.  The handle is easily extended by pressing one button, and the wheels are smooth-gliding for a nice ride.   Best of all, no assembly is required!

You can use this travel cart with a sleeping infant or toddler at the airport when you don’t have a stroller, or just as an easier way to transport your car seat.  You can check both the car seat and the travel cart at the check-in counter, or you check the car seat at the jet bridge before you board the plane and put the cart in the overhead storage.

We actually brought 2 car seats, one double stroller, and this travel cart with us to Disneyland.  We ended up using all of it, and would definitely do it again.  It was so much nicer having our own carseats instead of having to rent one (icky and uncomfortable!).  The travel cart was so handy – I have no idea how we got along without it before!

The Britax car seat travel cart retails for $79.99 and can be purchased at amazon.com or a retailer near you.

Clif Kid

About Clif Kid:

CLIF Kid makes organic snacks that are specially-created for kids’ growing bodies, developing taste buds and active lives.  The snack line features more of the nutrients that growing bodies need most in flavors kids crave with CLIF Kid Zbar, a whole grain energy snack bar that comes in baked and crispy varieties, and CLIF Kid Zfruit, a tangy, chewy fruit rope offering a full serving of organic fruit.

Clif Kid has just released a new flavor of their Zbar for the Halloween season – Full Moon Brownie.  Brandon is 3.5, and loves these bars as a snack, breakfast, or dessert.  He loved the cute decorations on the wrapper too – there are kids dressed up and trick-or-treating.

Besides the fact that he loves this new white chocolate chip brownie flavor, I am glad that I can give him a healthy snack that’s organic, made from whole grains, and has none of that icky stuff in it.   Only 130 calories per bar, 3g of fiber, 3g of protein, and 12 vitamins and minerals.  We usually buy the variety pack from Costco, and he loves all of the flavors.

I love how Clif (an awesome local Emeryville company) makes this fun special edition of their bars so that kids can have a healthy alternative to candy in their trick or treat pails!   I’m definitely going to give these out as an option for kids in my neighborhood!
