19 May 2010About DuoPress:
At duopress we publish books with fun spirit and contemporary style that are designed to stimulate the children’s imagination, their language development and their sense of play.
Our books are for the youngest children and for parents ready to participate and enjoy learning and discovering together.
In all of our books, we use the highest-quality non-toxic materials, all of which conform with the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM)
All of these sturdy board books are 6″x6″ with safe rounded corners. Each book by author Puck has a unique theme and is illustrated in full color with fun illustrations by Kevin Sommers. These books are great for counting, for learning about new places and things, and for talking with your child about things they see around them. I love that these books are visually appealing for kids and adults, and that they cover 7 different locations. They are perfect for teaching kids about the culture and icons that they see around them every day, or for preparing for and remembering a fun vacation. Ideal for ages 0-3.
In 123 USA, your child will count 1 Status of Liberty, 2 bald eagles, 3 government buildings, 4 presidents on Mount Rushmore, 5 stars on a flag, 6 sports balls, 7 hot dogs, 8 river boats, 9 apple pies, and 10 Uncle Sam’s top hats!
123 California counts through some of California’s most iconic places and things, like cable cars, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Hollywood sign, surf boards, and lots more.
123 San Francisco lets kids count through fortune cookies, Dungeness crabs, sea lions, cable cars, and more. This would be fun for walking around San Francisco, or for people visiting San Francsico with their children.
Sounds Funny is all about fun sounds – a bubble goes POP, a car goes VROOM, a dog goes WOOF, etc. Using fun pop art graphics, Sounds Funny is a great way to have fun with your child while teaching them about the sounds they hear all around them.
You can purchase all of the books I reviewed, and all of the other DuoPress books at amazon.com.
