Mabel’s Labels

About Mabel’s Labels:

From socks to sippy cups, boots to blankets, t-shirts to toys – the losses were endless! After years of chasing after her children’s belongings at daycare, school and friends’ houses, Julie Cole decided she had to do something. She got together with three female family members and created Mabel’s Labels, to make fun, durable labels for the stuff kids lose!

Mabel’s Labels makes all kinds of labels that are perfect for kids.  You can tell that these are designed by tried and true moms, because they are extremely kid friendly (colors and icons) yet they are extremely durable too.  The sticky labels are dishwasher and microwave safe, and resistant to UV rays and kids who love peeling things.  They created Tag Mates, which are specially designed to stick right onto clothing labels and not peel off or fade in the laundry (there are also iron-on options for tagless clothing).  The Shoe Labels are extra sticky so they will withstand lots of running and jumping, and the Bag Tags are super cool metal “dog tag”-style tags for gym or school bags.

Mabels’ Labels has recently added Allergy Alert labels for children with special dietary concerns so that their containers can be clearly marked, personalized stationary kits for kids, and ID wristbands.   You can also find labels for everything in the house, like cord management, trash bins, spice labels, and labels for all those plastic bins you have in your garage where you store your old kids clothes and toys.  :)

Mabel’s Labels sent us the The Big Combo Pack to review, which includes 45 Sticky Labels, 50 Iron-Ons or 75 Tag-Mates™, 24 Shoe Labels, 2 Bag Tags.  When you order anything, you will be able to see a preview of what your tags will look like.  You can also choose from one of their super cute icons to add a little more fun to the labels.

Sticky Labels. Sticky Labels are super durable, waterproof labels used for toys, dishes, bottles and much more. Sticky Labels are $18.50 for a pack of 45 labels. Dishwasher/microwave-safe and UV resistant.  Actual label size: 70mm x 16mm (2-3/4″ x 5/8″).

Tag-Mates. Tag-Mates™ are the ideal alternative to iron-on labels. These labels peel and stick to clothing care tags. They do not require any ironing or sewing. Tag-Mates™ are designed to withstand washing, drying, and wear-and-tear. A must for school, camp and daycare! Use them on clothing, jackets and uniforms.  Tag-Mates™ are $21.00 for a pack of 75 labels.  Laundry safe.  Actual label size: 21mm x 10mm (13/16″ x 3/8″)

Shoe Labels. Shoe Labels are extra tough and extra sticky. They will not rub off on socks or fall off when shoes get wet because of a protective overlay, designed to ensure durability. They fit nicely on the insole of shoes, boots, skates and other smooth-bottomed footwear. Shoe Labels are $18.50 for a pack of 24 labels.  Actual label size: 38mm x 38mm (1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″)

Bag Tags. Bag Tags are sturdy metal tags that are perfect for children and adults alike. Attach a Bag Tag to school bags, camp packs, sporting equipment, luggage and more.  Bag Tags are $18.50 for a pack of 6 tags.  Actual tag size: 57mm x 32mm (2-1/4″ x 1-1/4″)

Whether your kids are in daycare, in school, at the park, or even if you don’t have any kids at all – Mabel’s Labels will make you feel neater and more organized with their solutions for every aspect of your life.

Buy One!

The Big Combo pack retails for $55.00 for a pack of 45 Sticky Labels, 50 Iron-Ons or 75 Tag-Mates™, 24 Shoe Labels, 2 Bag Tags.  You can purchase these and more at mabel.ca or mabelslabels.com.

A story about labeling: When my son started to school I had a hard time finding ways to label his backpack and lunchbox. The labels I would use would end up falling off. I tried making tags for his things by using plastic key chains that you can get at the crafts store and put a picture in them. I printed out my son’s name on paper to use in the keychains. They worked good for a few months, but ended up getting cracked by my son throwing his backpack and lunchbox around.
