Ouchies Bandaids

Ouchies‘ founder set out to answer his question, “why are there no cool bandaids?” They have succeeded in creating some REALLY cool bandaid that will make any child forget about his/her ouchie! In his words, “Down with beige bandages, baby!”

We were sent 3 Ouchies tins – 4Boyz, Mr Men for Boys, and the Make UR Own. Each tin has 5 different designs, and 20 total bandages. They also have plenty of designs that are perfect for girls! Keep an eye out for some new designs coming soon for younger kids, called Ouchies Jr, which includes Olivia, Trucktown, Eric Carle, and Paddington Bear themes!

Brandon was about 18 months old when he was running around a metal table at the mall, and tripped and fell head first into the corner. He got 6 stitches, and the doctor told us to always keep a bandage on it whenever he’s out in the sun so that the scar doesn’t become darker than the skin around it. That means that he needs to wear bandaids every day! Ouchies makes it so much more fun for him, with all of these super cool designs. I especially like the 4Boyz designs, but I think older kids would really enjoy designing their own bandaids with the Make Ur Own collection. What a cool idea!

Since I’ve had several months of trying out different bandaids, I consider myself somewhat of a bandaid “expert”. These are by far the coolest looking bandaids I’ve seen. The only things I would changes are the material and the adhesive – they don’t have the little breathable “holes” in the material that other bandaids do, so they’re not ideal for long-term wearing, and the adhesive is more like a sticker than a traditional bandage. That being said, these are great for taking a kid’s mind off a surface scrape or boo-boo. They’ll be so happy to wear the Ouchies that they won’t even remember what happened!

A story about band-aids? When I was in high school I worked at a summer camp with an amazing supervisor who was so good with kids. I remember that she could solve any kid’s problem, particularly with a band-aid. I had to explain to more than one parent why their kid was wearing a band-aid on top of their sock… but at least they were happy!

well this is sortof a band aid story my 2.5 yr old now has a thing when he sees me with tape he takes a piece…which i later find stuck to the top of hisfoot?? for whatever reason…now that i’m sortof catching on to his game, and wondering why i’ve found 3 pieces there…he tells me he has a boo boo when he sees me with tape…he thinks i’ll give him a piece for his imaginary boo boo…to probably put on his foot…who knows??? he doesn’t get tape anymore though

My two year old son hurt his finger while playing one day. He walked around holding it up saying Owww over and over. We put a Band-Aid on it (the first time for a Band-Aid other than shots) and it just got worse! He screamed about his finger!!! You would have thought we had pinched him. I don’t think he’s had another one on since.

I absolutely love these! I have two boys and my youngest, who is 5, thinks that ANY boo boo deserves its own bandaids. When we ran out of decorated ones one time, he insisted that MY bandaids (you know, the ones that are just plain) would NOT work so I was forced to DECORATE his bandaid just so he’d put it on the scratch!

My 3 yo granddaughter calls bandaids bandy-bands. Here’s another story for you that my other granddaughter reminded me of today. We were on vacation when she stepped on dried brush and a stick stuck between her toes into her foot about 3/4 of an inch. We pulled it out, cleaned it up and wrapped it and put a sock on it. She was in a lot of pain and still crying. We had her foot elavated and put a heart shaped bandaid on the sock. That made her happy. She was 6 at the time.
