2 Feb 2010Kodak and JuiceBoxJungle sponsored me to write this fun post, about what I’d do with a surprise extra $100 if someone handed it to me next month. Would you surprise your spouse with a romantic dinner? Buy yourself something? Your child? Donate to help Haiti? Who gets the MOOLAH in this bonus situation?
What an interesting question! The problem with this question is that each person will really have at least 2 different answers… one is what you would do if you found $100 in your pocket, one is what you would do if other people saw you find $100 in your pocket. So I guess I will answer both.
If someone handed me $100, and no one else knew about it, I would probably just put it in my wallet, and go about life normally. Pay for my lunch, fill gas, grocery shop, and then it’d be gone. Boring, eh?
If someone handed me $100, and other people were watching (or reading, in this case), I would probably buy myself a new pair of shoes. Selfish, but true. Lately, everything is about Brandon, and any shopping we do is always for him. They just grow so fast, don’t they? I haven’t had time (or desire, even) to buy anything for myself. I think it’s about time!
What would YOU spend a random $100 on? Check out some other interesting questions on the JuiceBoxJungle ad on my right sidebar.

I’d put it in my house downpayment fund.

I would probably buy cloth diapers with it. I’m trying to make the switch from disposable to cloth and that would help me out a lot.

i’d take myself to get a massage. two pregnancies + now lugging around 45 pounds worth of kids has beaten my body up! i swear i am crooked
(from always carrying kids on the right side) and creaky and old beyond my years (although i am pretty old!)

I would buy cloth diapers, too. My twin boys go through a ton of diapers!

100% give it away, No matter how broke we are, my husband and I make it a point to give at least a dollar to every person who stands on the corners of stop lights, intersections, and sitting on the sidewalks with signs for “HELP”. The “ALOHA” spirit lives on:-)
