Playskool

Another great gift idea from Playskool is the Musical Sit & Spin. Recommended for ages 1.5 and up, the Sit and Spin is a great exercise activity for kids. They sit on the base, and use the upper stationary wheel to turn themselves around. You can also press the button on the top for some cool tunes while you spin. :)

The Sit and Spin comes in 4 pieces, with 3 screws. It’s really easy to put together, and requires 2 AA batteries for the musical part. I actually really enjoy the music that plays, but there is an on-off switch underneath the wheel if you choose to turn it off. I read reviews from other parents who decided to not put the batteries in at all, and just use it as a spin toy because there is no volume control.

Brandon is still trying to figure out how to use this toy properly, and I found out that it definitely works better on a hard surface. It doesn’t spin very well on carpet. Right now, he’s experimenting with spinning himself by putting his hands on the ground, tipping backwards on purpose, and standing on the base instead of sitting. Haha.
