Build-A-Bear Workshop
You’ve probably heard of Build-A-Bear, seen it in the mall, or been to it yourself. Today we had the opportunity to visit the Build-A-Bear Workshop and create our own friends. The store is all decked out in Holiday cheer, with some brand new animals and outfits and seasonal Holiday take-home boxes. We were greeted by Brenda, who was SO friendly and helpful! She showed us through all of the stations that are part of the workshop:

- Take Me Home
Brandon had so much fun, and we so lucky to be able to take home 3 new friends! Brandon chose the Jonas dog with the Jonas Brothers sound chip (we don’t judge him), a Jonas Brothers Guitar which also plays music, boys underwear, a Golden State Warriors jersey (with ball), and some matching blue and orange Sketchers shoes. The print looks like a canvas, but it’s actually super soft, and all of the clothing has a little slit to accomodate the animals with tails. Daddy chose the monkey with a Darth Vader outfit and black canvas high tops (no underwear). The Star Wars items are so cool – it even comes with a light sabre! 
I chose the Hal the Moose with light-up antlers, white undies (gotta start potty training soon!), Star Wars pj’s, a bathrobe, and some fluffy bunny slippers! I love that all of the clothing items fit all of the animals.
They have such a huge selection that it was hard to choose which outfit to put on. They also rotate items very frequently, so when you see something you like, you better grab it quick before it’s gone forever! We felt like we just won the lottery, and it was so much fun there! I could’ve stayed there forever, but Brandon was getting tired (and they were closing the mall). I LOVE the Build-A-Bear Workshop, and I can’t wait until Brandon is older so we can go back!

Brenda also told us about their new 35th Anniversary Hello Kitty special edition dresses, which are actually numbered! They also have a matching little girls dress available for sale at Macy’s! How cute is that?
A few questions I had for Build-A-Bear:
1. How much can a parent expect to spend at the Build-A-Bear Workshop?
Build-A-Bear workshop stuffed animals are very affordable, ranging in price from $10 to $25.
2. What are the most popular bears right now?
Our stores have been transformed to Santa’s Workshop for the holiday season and are filled with holiday themed products and gift ideas. Check out information about gifts at Build-A-Bear Workshop here. Very popular products this year are Holly and Hal Moose™; these antlered siblings were introduced last year in our stores along with their story book, “Holly and Hal Moose™: Our Uplifting Christmas Adventure”. This year families can start a new holiday tradition by watching Holly and Hal in a one-hour animated television special based on the book that will premiere on ABC Family during Thanksgiving week, Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 7 PM ET/PT (with an encore presentation on Saturday, Nov. 28 at 10 AM ET/PT). The animated special will be released on DVD on Nov. 25th.
3. What are the most popular accessories?
Personalizing your furry friend with sound is very popular; Guests can record their own 10-second Build-A-Sound® message or choose from a pre-recorded sound.
4. If I want to host a party, how much will it cost per child, and what is the maximum size of the party?
The cost of a party is set by the party planner and can start at just $10 per child. We place no limits on party size; if a party exceeds 20 Guests we will schedule a date and time that works for both the Guest and our store employees to ensure the best possible experience.
5. What is the most memorable bear you’ve seen?
The most memorable bear I have seen is our Camo bear dressed in a military outfit made by a Guest who was departing for a tour of duty in Iraq. Our Guest recorded his voice using our Build-A-Sound® chip so that his daughter could hear his voice everyday while he was away!
6. What is your favorite accessory?
My favorite “accessory” this year is our new animated movie DVD, “Holly and Hal Moose™: Our Uplifting Christmas Adventure”, which marks the first time Build-A-Bear Workshop plush animals have been brought to life on television.
