A bit about Belli Skin Care:
At Belli, we support expectant and new mothers through this changing time by providing soothing, balanced skin products that pamper and protect. Our collections – Belli Pregnancy, Belli Motherhood and Belli Baby – address the specific needs of each stage, with thoughtful attention to the safest formulations.
Belli Pregnancy has set a higher standard for prenatal safety, as the only skin care line in the world that is teratology screened. We search through over 16 million medical research articles in over 5000 international journals, and use this information to exclude ingredients with even remote links to birth defects or other problems with pregnancy. Belli Motherhood is LactMed screened to avoid ingredients linked to harmful effects during breastfeeding. Belli Baby is screened for xenoestrogens—chemicals which can act like hormones that interfere with normal development of the reproductive system. So no matter which Belli products you use, you can have peace of mind erring on the side of caution.
Belli has something for every mom! These products are so rigorously researched and tested, with doctors and moms working together, that you can feel at ease that none of the ingredients could be harmful to you or your baby. When you are pregnant, there are so many ingredients that you should watch out for. One thing I learned is that just because a product is “all-natural” or “organic” doesn’t mean that it’s safe to use. It’s almost impossible to go to a regular drugstore and read through all of the ingredients looking for ones that are totally safe. With Belli, you don’t even have to think about it – I love that!
Belli’s Pregnancy line has products such as Elasticity Belly Oil, Pampered Pregnancy Body Wash, and Foot Relief Cream. When you’re pregnant, you just want to be pampered (safely!) and Belli has just the right products without having to go the spa. Belli’s Motherhood line is great for nursing moms, because there are many ingredients that can pass through to breast milk. And Belli’s Baby line is just what you need for your precious little one’s delicate skin.
Belli sent us 4 awesome products to review. Belli Baby Pamper Me talc-free powder, Belli Baby Nourish Me enriched body lotion, Belli Motherhood Surgical Scar Reducer, and Belli Motherhood Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer.
The Pamper Me powder keeps baby’s skin dry and free from rashes and irritation. The Nourish Me lotion is enriched with essential oils from chamomile, and is soft, smooth, and smells wonderful. It’s perfect for keeping baby’s skin moist after baths, and can be used for baby massages! I don’t know who loves baby massages more – me or Brandon.
The surgical scar reducer is something I wanted to try for Brandon’s scar on his head. He fell and had to get 6 stitches right in the middle of his forehead, so I am hoping that this product will help. I’ll let you know in a few months, but all the reviews I’ve read have been extremely positive about results. It contains silicone gel, which is used by surgeons to help heal scars, and is safe because it is not absorbed through the skin.
The moisturizing hand sanitizer is not your average hand sanitizer! Almost all hand sanitizers are made with ethyl alcohol – I’ve never seen one that hasn’t had this as the main ingredient. Alcohol is extremely drying for the skin, so Belli has created one using benzalkonium chloride instead, which kills 99.9% of all germs on contact and is non-drying. After using it, I feel like I just washed my hands and then put an expensive moisturizer on (with a very faint citrus scent). I’ll be keeping this one in my purse!
Belli also has some great gift packs for pregnancy, motherhood, and baby:

Belli Baby Pamper Me talc-free powder retails for $14, Belli Baby Nourish Me enriched body lotion retails for $19, Belli Motherhood Surgical Scar Reducer retails for $34, and Belli Motherhood Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer retails for $4. You can purchase the products I reviewed and other Belli Skin Care products online at belliskincare.com, amazon.com, or at a store near you.
Use our exclusive coupon code BABYBIX for 20% off your order at BelliSkinCare.com (through 12/31/09).
Belli Skin Care would like to offer one lucky babybix blog reader the same 4 items that I was able to try – Belli Baby Pamper Me talc-free powder, Belli Baby Nourish Me enriched body lotion, Belli Motherhood Surgical Scar Reducer, and Belli Motherhood Moisturizing Hand Sanitizer. Winner may substitute Belli Motherhood Eye Brightening Cream for the Scar Reducer, if they wish. This is a $73 value!
