Ergo sent us their Organic Cranberry Carrier with Nautilus Print Lining to review. I haven’t been able to wear Brandon in a carrier since he was about 7 months old, because he’s been over the weight limit for other carriers. However, he LOVES to be held, so I’ve been wanting to try out the ERGO baby carrier since the weight limit is a staggering 90 pounds!?! Basically, your body will give out before the Ergo will!

I’ve always heard rave reviews from my friends and online about the Ergo Carrier, but haven’t had the opportunity to try one until now. Brandon should be worn on my back, but he refused to and only likes to be held in front. He really liked it, and it was really comfortable for both of us.

My favorite things about the Ergo Carrier:

Easy to use. At first, it was a little bit daunting to see the instruction booklet, but once you figure out how everything works, it’s really easy!
Breathable fabric. I was also concerned that it might be too hot, but actually the fabric is really breathable and I haven’t had any problems with overheating.
Front pouch. Another thing I like about the carrier is that it has a little zippered pouch in the front so you can store things like your wallet, and maybe a burp cloth or two.
Huge range for a customized fit. My husband is huge, and no baby carrier has EVER fit him, but the Ergo totally does. This means I can make him do the carrying sometimes.
No strap dangling. They built in these little elastic things that allow you to wrap up the excess strap material so that it doesn’t dangle everywhere – they think of everything!
Super comfortable. The high quality padding in the straps and the ultra padded waist strap make this the most comfortable carrier I have ever worn. I can walk forever with this on, and will definitely be taking it with me when we do any traveling.

When I’m wearing the Ergo, I find myself holding Brandon’s feet, kissing him, and wrapping my arms around him. It’s no wonder you always hear about the benefits of baby wearing! What a huge difference between pushing your baby around in a stroller (especially if they are facing outwards), and holding your baby close to your heart. You have so many more opportunities to communicate with your baby too – I was able to point out so many things to Brandon, and could tell right away when he wanted to learn more about a particular object. You’ve heard this before from everyone else, but now you’re going to hear it from me… the Ergo Baby Carrier is the only baby carrier you will ever need, and the only one that anyone should ever buy!
