When I first got home from the hospital, I had no idea what I was supposed to wear while nursing.  Do I *really* need a special nursing top or bra?  I had no idea that there were so many options in nursing apparel.  After trying out several different types of nursing wear (and dishing out tons of cash), my favorite has always been the Medela items.  The sleep bra (with Medela disposable pads) was a staple for me, and I own several.   Don’t underestimate how much time you’ll be spending in these items – I’m talking 24/7, minus the time it takes you to shower, if you have time to do that.  :)

Medela has recently updated their nursing camisole, and it’s now made from an eco-friendly bamboo/cotton blend.  The bamboo makes it so soft and comfy.  Besides being sustainable and soft, the bamboo is also naturally anti-microbial.  I like the lace detail at the top, which looks great when layered with a v-neck or just plain with a cardigan or wrap.  You can also use this nursing top with any Medela pump for hands-free pumping!  However, my all-time favorite aspect of this top is that it’s LONG ENOUGH!  I can’t tell you how many nursing tops ride up or are just plain too short.
