Fortunately for you (unfortunately for me), I got sick right in time for this review. My poor nose was in a bad place – all red, irritated, and dry from blowing my nose so much. I was also really congested and couldn’t smell or taste anything, which by the way is a great way to start eating less! I looked over and saw a package of Boogies Wipes beckoning me. ”Magic Menthol,” it said on the package. Hmm… the second I opened the package, my nose perked up and when I wiped my poor nose, I COULD SMELL EVERYTHING OMG. It IS magic!! Ok, it was a brief reprise, and my nose got stuffy again shortly after, but boy did it make me feel good for a while to be able to smell and breathe clearly again. Now that I know how it feels, I’ll be happy to help out my little guy when he has a stuffy nose with Magic Menthol wipes. The Grape scent (now that I can smell again) is definitely my favorite, though. I’m surprised kids haven’t tried to eat the wipes! Yumm!
From the Boogie Wipes website:
Boogie Wipes are made with saline to dissolve boogies (mucus) caused by the common cold, allergies or otherwise booger-filled kid moments. Extra soft and scented in Great Grape, Fresh Scent or Magic Menthol (for extra stuffy noses) Boogie Wipes are recommended by Pediatricians as a gentle, effective alternative to a dry tissue.
Boogie Wipes are available at boogiewipes.com (save 10% with code “Boogie Time”), Nordstrom, Toys R Us, and other stores nationwide. See the store locator for a store near you. Go to boogiewipes.com to download a $1 off coupon!
Boogie Wipes would like to offer 2 30-count packs of Boogie Wipes (and some coupons) to one lucky babybix blog reader.

When my baby was younger, he had a chronic cold and I would always find random dried snot on my shirts!

My snot story isn’t really snotty it’s just funny in a Mom way-I was at Babies R Us buying items for my youngest daughter and actually sawl a stand with boogie wipes, I said I wonder if these work to my SIL who was with me. A woman in front of me said she had 4 month old triplets and she loved them! The woman behind me said she had twins and she needed to get some because they had colds. I bought some because I have twins and thought if all of these other multiples moms like them then I need them! They worked great!

When my daughter was in kindergarten, she had terrible Fall allergies. Every day I would send packets of tissues to school with her and every day she came off the bus with her jacket shiny with snot!

My son was never very snotty, but I remember once being at the beach with friends and their son was dripping non-stop. I looked up and a HUGE thick drop of snot was hanging out of his nose and before I could tell his mom to clean it up, he had swallowed it. I am still traumatized.

I have to wait until my son is sleeping to clean out the snot and boogers. He refuses and throws a fit if I try to do it while he’s awake. I’m so embarrassed taking him to playgroups with a booger peeking out. YUCK!!

I’ve found the best ways to clear little noses is to cover their mouth with yours and blow gently. The air forces all the snot out…of course it may cover you while doing so!

When my son gets a stuffy nose, I usually use a nasal bulb to suction some of the mucus out. It’s gross but my son thinks it is a fun game! He likes to turn his head, just as I’m suctioning, which leads to a string of mucus across his face. Gross!

my baby calls them “nuggars” and will pose with his finger next to his nose if you ask him for his “nuggar face”

My almost-3-year-old has recently gotten into the picking-your-nose thing and I keep trying to get her to stop without making too big a deal of it but really, the snot is gross.

Just the other day I found a rather large spot on my daughter’s bed sheet–I tried to scratch it off and discovered it was dried snot. Lovely.
