Polliwalks Shoes – “Fun for Feet!”

Looking for an alternative to Crocs?  Polliwalks are just what you’re looking for!  They are more like toys than shoes! 

Polliwalks just came out with a Sesame Street line that is just SO cute.  We had the opportunity to review the Elmo shoes, which Brandon immediately fell in love with.  Check out Elmo, Oscar the Grouch, and Cookie Monster:

Pros:

• So cute! I can’t tell you how many times we’ve been stopped by kids and parents – “Look!  It’s Elmo shoes!”  Also, Brandon usually wants to take his shoes off, and for the first time ever, he asked to put these ones back on!
• Molded footbed has a deeper heel and built-in arch support. I don’t know what the exact measurements are for the inside, but Brandon never has any red marks on his feet after wearing these for a while.  On the contrary, after wearing his Crocs, you can see the imprint of the pattern from the shoe on his foot – click here to see what I mean.
• Toe edge turns up a little, for less tripping potential. Poor Brandon has a tripping problem – he was tripping all over the place, all the time.  He’s been wearing his Elmo Polliwalks for about a week now, and he hasn’t tripped a single time with them on – even while running!
• Doesn’t have those little nubs on the footbed. If you’ve ever worn Crocs, you know what I’m talking about.  Some people like it, and some people hate it, but after a long day walking with Crocs on, they start to really hurt the bottoms of my feet!   Polliwalks have a nice smooth interior, but not so smooth that they are slippery.
• Machine washable! Yes, you can just throw then in the machine to wash with cold water and let them air dry.

Cons:

• Thicker walls and fewer ventilation holes = sweaty little feet
• Heavier than competition

They run a little bigger in size than other shoes, but Brandon doesn’t seem to mind them being a little loose.  For comparison, here’s a picture of his 6/7 Crocs next to the size 7 Polliwalks.  The Polliwalks seem to be wider and deeper, so they don’t squash his chubby pillow-top feet.  Notice the cute bottoms that create footprints in the sand or after stomping around in puddles! 

Polliwalks also has many other fun styles that your kid will love, including a firefly with light-up tail, a fish with color-changing lips, pull-on puppies, kitty mary janes, t-rex, and gators (seen on Jon and Kate plus 8’s Gosselin kids)!
