b’s favorite iphone apps

when we’re at a restaurant, and none of the toys in my magical toy bag are doing the trick, i always end up pulling out my iphone to see if there is anything that might buy me a few minutes to finish inhaling my dinner.  this also happens in the car, when brandon wants out of his carseat.

his favorite iphone applications are:

• mini piano (free).  he loves this, but i just wish the “about” button wasn’t so prominent because he keeps hitting it and launching the browser.  then he gets angry that there is no more piano.
• motion-x dice (free).  something you might not think of for kids, but it’s perfect!  brandon loves to shake things (don’t all kids?), and you can choose the design of your dice so he likes the sports motif.  if you turn on the sound, you can hear the sound of the dice rolling, and he likes to hear the effects of his shaking as well as seeing the dice roll around.  really great quality app.
• youtube (anything elmo, and some other sesame street stuff)

pbs sprout just launched a new iphone app.  i’m gonna try it out.
