first post – sophie the giraffe

hi everyone,

this is my first post! i’m still not sure what the focus of my postings will be going forward, but i hope to include product reviews, babybix site features, personal experiences, and some best practices that i’ve learned over the past year being brandon’s mom. please let me know what you’d like to hear about and i’ll do my best to oblige.

let me start by reviewing one of brandon’s favorite toys right now – sophie the giraffe!

when someone first recommended sophie to me, i took one look at the price tag and said, “what does it DO?” $20 for a simple rubber toy? no thanks! eventually, brandon started putting everything in his mouth and i started to really look for safe toys for him to play with. sophie is bpa-free and made with natural rubber from the hevea tree (doesn’t smell “rubbery”) and food-grade paints, so i am 100% worry-free when brandon starts gnawing on sophie’s ear or leg. he makes this squeaky sound when he puts his teeth on it, which he seems to love. sophie also squeaks when you squeeze her, and is so easy for brandon to grab onto. so simple, but so awesome! we love sophie and will be buying several for our friends. you can get it on amazon right now for $17 and change.
